For 2 year olds

They can apply online at - Apply for free childcare if you're working - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

For a non-EEA citizen , they will need to send us the following evidence to issue a funding code:

1. Please send a P60 / Pay slip / Letter from employer or bank

Your household income after tax must be no more than:

  • £26,500 for families outside of London with one child
  • £34,500 for families within London with one child
  • £30,600 for families outside of London with two or more children
  • £38,600 for families within London with two or more children

You cannot have more than £16,000 in savings or investments.

2. Evidence of right to remain in the UK and no recourse to public funds – please send a letter from the Home Office granting leave to remain in the UK together with a biometric residence card
 

3 year olds

Universal funded childcare is available for all 3 and 4 year olds. Children can use up to 570 hours each year, up to a maximum of 15 hours over 38 weeks. A child moving to reside in England from another country is entitled to universal funded childcare on the same basis as any other child, regardless of whether they have British citizenship.

There is no need to apply for a code. The parent should contact their preferred childcare provider to discuss availability.
